How to use this training
Registration
To join a course, create an account on Plastic Odyssey Academy using your email address. Registration gives you free access to the training content.
Plastic Odyssey Academy’s online training is organised into courses, each made up of several lessons. Each lesson combines theory illustrated with real international examples and videos filmed in the field. You will find a large amount of technical and economic figures.
To access a course’s contents, you must register for each course.
This registration lets us know the number of participants.
The videos are currently available in French and Wolof. A full English version will be available at the end of 2026, and new languages will be added progressively in the future.

2 - Tracking your progress
2.1 - Quizzes, certificates and badges
Each course module lets you take a professional certification. You obtain it by answering at least 80% of the questions correctly.
Plastic Odyssey Academy certificates
Warning! You only get two attempts, so pay close attention throughout the course. Each certification you earn gives you access to a badge and a personalised diploma.
There may be a delay of a few hours between passing an assessment and seeing the badge on your profile.
Intermediate quizzes punctuate the training so you can check what you have learned chapter by chapter.
2.2 - Experience and ranks
Every quiz and every certification lets you earn experience (XP) to keep you motivated and track your progress. The more you study and the more correct answers you give, the higher the experience levels (ranks) you reach, proudly displayed on your profile.
3 - Additional resources
Plastic Odyssey has selected technical and scientific resources from international organisations specialising in solid waste management.
These additional resources are optional. Use them to explore the topics that interest you in greater depth.
4 - Exchange with other learners
You are not alone on this journey: an international community of learners and recycling practitioners is available through WhatsApp, with channels in English, French and Spanish.
These spaces let you exchange with entrepreneurs around the world, ask questions to experienced recyclers, share experiences and learn together throughout the training.
To access these WhatsApp groups, join the community.
5 - Using the learning materials
Plastic Odyssey Academy’s online training is available open-source and can be used in an educational setting within your institution (conferences, workshops, training sessions, internal programmes).
